The overarching objective of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform audits against either:
: a Quality Management System
: Ngā Paerewa - Health and Disability Services Standards NZS 8134:2021
: other aligned standards
: contracts specifications
for the provision of consistently safe and reasonable levels of care for consumers of health and disability services in New Zealand and to measure compliance against contract requirements.
The specific standards referenced during this course include:
: Ngā Paerewa - Health and Disability Services (NZS 8134:2021)
: AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015
The training programme has been designed to include Unit Standard 8086 Quality Auditing as required by the Ministry of Health for auditing H&DSS for Certification. The course is also designed to provide comprehensive training for other models of Accreditation or Certification auditing. It provides the first steps towards becoming a lead auditor.
The course includes:

: Planning and preparing for audits
: Audit practices in order to have confidence in the audit results
: Team work and roles
: Audit reporting
: Audit follow up
Marushka Caldeiro who is the Lead Trainer is a registered Lead Auditor and an experienced educator, with eleven years experience in auditing the health sector and five years experience in auditor training.
The course fee is $2,650.00 plus GST and includes: course documentation; course delivery; registration of NZQA credits, lunches and refreshments.
